Bayer Leverkusen are one win away from the Bundesliga title after Bayern Munich threw away a 2-0 lead to lose at Heidenheim.
Thomas Tuchel’s side led at half-time at the Voith-Arena through Harry Kane’s 32nd league goal of the season and Serge Gnabry.
But goals in reply after the interval from Kevin Sessa and two from Tim Kleindienst saw the 10th-placed hosts take all three points.
Leverkusen, meanwhile, did their bit with Florian Wirtz’s goal enough to earn a 1-0 victory at Union Berlin.
