Former NFLer Sergio Brown taken into custody in connection with mother’s death

Former NFL defensive back Sergio Brown was taken into custody by police after a warrant was issued for first-degree murder in the death of his mother, Myrtle Brown, Maywood (Ill.), police said in a statement.
Sergio and Myrtle Brown were reported missing by relatives on Sept. 16, and authorities were unable to locate them. After the police searched the home shared by Myrtle and Sergio, they found her body near a creek close to her residence in the suburbs of Chicago.
