LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr. diagnosed with rare brain cancer

LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr. has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma, the school announced Wednesday.
Brooks underwent emergency surgery last month to remove a large brain tumor and was awaiting results from a biopsy, his family said at the time. He had missed the Sept. 16 win over Mississippi State with what the program called a “medical emergency” before the procedure.
Brooks missed time in preseason camp with what he described as vertigo.
