NFL expected to move Ramon George, Mark Butterworth into new officiating roles: Sources

The NFL is planning to name Ramon George and Mark Butterworth to new executive officiating roles at the vice president level as part of an ongoing department makeover, according to league sources.
George, currently an NFL umpire, is expected to oversee training and development. Butterworth, a replay official, will oversee replay. The expected hires come after the NFL’s head of officiating, Walt Anderson, stepped down from the role. Anderson will remain with the department in another capacity.
