Samuel Barrott, 30, referees first Premier League game

Samuel Barrott, 30, will referee his first Premier League match on Saturday when he takes charge of Fulham vs Sheffield United at Craven Cottage.
The former Halifax Town youth player has been officiating in the English Football League (EFL) since 2020 and has taken charge of six Championship fixtures this season.
Barrott is younger than the captains of both teams —Fulham’s Tim Ream and United’s Chris Basham — but he is not the youngest referee to take charge of a Premier League match. That remains Michael Oliver, who was 25 when he officiated Birmingham City vs Blackburn Rovers…
